Question by Hobocamp: How do I start playing soccer at age 14?
I am 14 and want to do a new sport, soccer. I have watched soccer, but never played. I want to start playing. I know that everyone started at a younger age, but is there any way that I could practice a lot in a certain way to get good? If you could tell me what to work on (conditioning/practicing), that would be great. I already fence (you know, with the swords) so I have some athletic ability, but I want to start soccer.

Question by Max Garnick: How to approach my parents on quitting soccer?
I’ve played many sports in my childhood, one of which is soccer. Freshman year is a quarter of the way done and soccer tryouts r next week. I love golf and tennis, but not so much soccer. I really don’t want to take soccer to the high school level but im pretty sure my parents ont approve. Any tips on how I should approach my parents on quitting soccer?

tell your parents you arent playing soccer
its your choice
they dont like it? what are they gonna do, chain you to the soccer field?
